Although the Montessori materials is associated with a specific presentation, children are free to explore their own way of what it can address. My
Peas showed repeatedly its ability to transcend the material or to adapt to any personal way, as with silent dictations, which she uses to check my spelling ;-).
Here, she has released rough figures, tokens (yes in Peas, tokens are ladybugs ...) and cardboard figures.
She carefully traced the rough figures, put the number of beetles had hoc, and laid the cards on top of reading aloud the number.
This does not correspond to any presentation, the two materials endeavoring to different concepts, but apparently it's very funny!
