Preparation:
- Shut down the computer, disconnect from mains and remove the battery.
- Avoid anything that can generate static electricity.
- It will take a small screwdriver Phillips and a well lit work area; tweezers can potentially be used to pick up screws e.
Removing the old keyboard
Open the laptop and locate the plastic bezel which runs along the top of the keyboard. You can remove it by lifting the center :Once removed, the 4 screws appear along the top edge of the keyboard and unscrew set aside.
Lift the keyboard side closest to the screen and gently pull the keyboard towards the screen, the keyboard bottom come off so . Do not pull too hard though because it is still attached to the motherboard.
Return the keyboard to locate the keyboard cable connected to the motherboard. The connector is unlocked by moving the 2 tabs on each side. This frees the keyboard cable which can then be replaced by the new.
