How to replace the keyboard on HP Business Notebook 6730S

Replacement Instructions:

• to Bring a Phillips screwdriver and a thin plastic piece like a credit card or a pick.

First step:

• Remove the two screws under the laptop holding the plastic piece above the keyboard (with ignition buttons).

Second step:

• Return the notebook, raise the cover and insert the credit card between it and the laptop in order to unclip. Do not remove it completely as it is plugged into the motherboard.

Step Three:

• Move the keyboard to the screen carefully to access the web. There is a small plastic connector locking the web: to open it, gently pull the two tabs on each side.

Step Four:

• Carefully remove groundwater: the keyboard can now be removed from its support.

Last step:

• Place the new keyboard face down, so they can more easily insert the cloth. Relock the connector.
• Repeat slide the keyboard into the slot and reclipser cache.
• Turn the keyboard and replace the two screws
• If the ignition key does not work: there are two likely ka sheet that have not been set correctly.
