Our current needs are: - Transport volunteers and Accompaniments for medical appointments to Sutton, Cowansville and sometimes Sherbrooke and Montreal. Beneficiaries defray the costs of gasoline. - Visit of friendship among individuals who request them, Anglophone and Francophone. - Administration of departments (Board of Directors). We have about 4-5 meetings a year and some small responsibilities can be taken to assist the organization in its operation.
Forum Citizen I recently spoke with a councilor and I told him that the city of Sutton is a place to live. Why me he asked? Because many citizens are busy making it so. Of course, elected officials and city employees contribute significantly to this effort and it takes longer to recognize the contributions of all community groups who also work tirelessly for the same purpose. In 2011, the Civic Forum will pay particular attention to these groups by inviting them in turn to present their achievements. Thus, Tuesday, January 18, 2011, we have invited as the first Madam Eve Denis Sutton Family Resource and we invite you to meet her. So, to put in your brand new diary: Tuesday, January 18 at 19 pm at the John Sleeth Room No. 1 Academy Street, near Main Street in Sutton. Hope to see you there! speaking Recently I Was With A City Councilor and I attacked him thats the city of Sutton Is The ideal place to live. Why, he Asked Me. Work Hard Because Many Citizens to make it so, I Answered. Of course, Our Elected Officials and city staff Significantly Contribute to this effort and We Must admittedly recognize the input of all the community groups who also work tirelessly for the same purpose. In 2011, the Citizens' Forum wants to pay particular attention to these groups by inviting a representative of each to come and share their achievements with us.
