National Days of Night Caving

On 4 and 5 October 2008, for the National Days of Speleology, Speleological Group of Entre Sambre et Meuse organizes:

- Discovery caves and caving: First didactic and / or sport for everyone
When: Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 18h (departure every hour)
How much: 12 people per group
Material: Boots, clothes

- Demonstration techniques by caving club members
When: Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 to 13h

- Introduction to Caving techniques on rock: Learn to mount and descend on ropes, abseiling guided
... When: Saturday from 13pm to 18pm and Sunday from 13h to 17h

Location: N90, opposite the castle caves - 100m from the nearest gas station "Esso" - Route marked

Access: - In Car: Via the N90
- By bus: Line No. 10-Namur Châtelineau stop Floreffe "caves" - Line 56-Namur Brood stop Floreffe "The Préat"
- By train: 20min walk from the station Floreffe

European Bats

This year the Group Speleological Entre Sambre and Meuse organizes this activity in collaboration with Plecotus (workgroup bats Natagora ).

The theme this year is "Bats and water"

This day, or rather this night will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Floreffe Place Roi Baudouin , 8

the program of the evening:
20h: Assembly catering bat
20.30: Video projection on big screen
21H: Nightwalk along the valleys of Floreffe (bring clothes with time)
Possibility of snacks ( soup, sandwiches, drinks at good rates)

Concretions in the tunnel Godarville

We are still alive, not the net, but below ground, proof, here are some reports ;-)

- Hole Haquin : March 30, 2008
Participants: Moses Rudy , Guss and Vincent

We take many showers fell during the week for us engaged in the hole Haquin almost raw. Passage 1 time 2 times 3 times ... under the waterfall for our greatest happiness.



20,100 - Cave Veronika : 06 April 2008-05-16
Participants: Glenda , William, Gusse , Patrick, Rudy Vincent and Benjamin

Discover the cave Veronika we arrive in a pipe filled with spiders to the delight of Vincent! We are entering a hole in the concrete behind the penstock and here we are in the cave . first part: jumping into a well nice concretions. Second part: made of successions of ramping and squeezes of , under the famous technique of "Roll, ball!" Our feelings, anxiety, intense heat, sweating and therefore wet. us here at the entrance to the Chawresse , and here we are! Turn around! We now find ourselves at the entrance concrete, we follow along the tube line in search of calcite and other new discoveries . arrived after the duct, we find that after the tunnel is corked, we walk back . We walked up the entrance Veronika to finally see daylight!

Benjamin

- Caving Course at Fort Barchon : From Friday, April 18 to Sunday, April 20, 2008
Participants: Vincent for the club and more than 200 other cavers

Again Fort barchon was present in the program of the Federal . It is obvious that it should be missed in any case this technical training, a total of 7 courses are equipped (A, B, C, D, E and F). I start on Friday evening in the early course, A, B, C and D are some of the chains. The next day, I finish the rest of the journey (without the F, left for Sunday) with Claudine . On Sunday, a little rope to stretch the whole and in the middle of the afternoon I jumped into the water course with JP Courmont ( SCAN). Next year it's on, I do not neoprene. Thank

20,100 - Tunnel Godarville : 1 st
May 2008 Participants: Patrick , Bernardine, and Stephen Vincent

nice visit to this old tunnel barges. We walk along the towpath to enjoy beautiful limestone formations: gours , eggs calcite pearls! The flashes of cameras crackled like at Cannes. Bernardine was delighted to discover the strange and beautiful phenomena that nature offers.



20,100 - Hole Maulin : May 2, 2008
Participants: Olivier, Jerome , Lucas, David and Vincent

nice little visit this cave classic Rochefortoise region. Entered by tons, look at the font which was well filled out by the porch. We drank and presto, we enter the third entry down from the diaclase, one passes by the well descend into the cheese without getting lost, exit through the porch. There remained only the galleries below for making a complete tour, but it will be for next time.



20,100 - Exercise Block Caving the abyss of Vauvougier in Doubs (25): From 10 to 12 May 2008

Participants: Vincent and about 35 other members of Block Caving
Exercise lived
size 24/24 h, purpose, leave a victim in more than 150m underground. Successful year with relay teammate, surface management, and good organization.
